Your help is needed more than ever, You are requested to help those who are waiting for our help. Situation Facts * More than four million people affected * More than 1,600 dead * Two million homeless * 1,300 villages affected in Punjab alone * Worst flooding in 80 years * Landslides and flashfloods are washing away entire villages * Thousands of homes destroyed; thousands of acres of farmland uprooted * Waterborne disease like diarrhea and cholera threaten the victims Hardest-hit areas * Pakistan-administered Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were hardest hit with the rains initially, but Punjab and Sindh are now on high-alert, as hundreds of thousands flee their homes. * Peshawar, Nowshera and Charsadda, where at least 700 people have drowned, and about 5,000 people are awaiting help at a campsite. * The Shangla and Swat districts, where hundreds have been killed and bridges are washed out. * Areas in Pakistani-administered Kashmir, which have been cut off by landslides. As Ramadan is also coming up so, * Donate Generously, * Cut off your non-productive spendings and donate your savings, * Do fund raising among your friends and family, * Send your Zakat to flood efectees. * Send your donations to reliable people. Waqas 48 Posted August 7, 2010 Thats why i mentioned always hand over your donations to reliable NGOs or persons, or if you have enough donations go and help them yourself like supplying food, medicine etc. Affected are all over Sindh, Punjab and Khyber.
