Asim Ali 0 Posted September 20, 2004 BIRMINGHAM: Pakistan cricket team coach, Bob Wolmer has said that taking on the West Indies in semi-final would not the least be easier as several world-class players are included in their team. The national team coach, in a press conference here, admired the hard work of the players, for which, he said, “They have been rewarded with a convincing victory.†He told that this winning combination would be relied upon in the upcoming matches also. He particularly lauded the performance of Rana Naveedul Hassan. Replying to a question regarding semi-final, Bob Wolmer told that Pakistani cricketers would have to keep their eyes on Brian Lara as well as other West Indies players in the backdrop of their highly impressive recent performances. Captain of Pakistan cricket team, Inzamamul Haq has termed the victory against India, the outcome of team spirit. Responding to a question, he said that the decisions to let Shahid Afridi play at middle- order and Shoaib Akhter not being allowed to bowl with new ball were made in the interest of the team.
