Jackal 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Men of Valor Publisher: VU Games Developer: 2015 Genre: Action Release Date: 10/29/2004 Men of Valor is a challenging game, and it's made tougher by an occasionally aggravating save system. The game saves your progress permanently between levels, and some levels include one or two "soft" restart spots that last only until you quit the game. Generally speaking, these save spots are well placed, and the lack of a save-anywhere system adds some noticeable tension to the proceedings. In more than a few cases, however, the length between checkpoints can be infuriating. Late in the game, there's a tough battle that's preceded by a couple of minutes of pointless walking and two uninterruptible cutscenes. You may find yourself navigating this uneventful preliminary section over and over again, only to die within 20 seconds of the battle starting. Men of Valor was developed by 2015, the team responsible for Medal of Honor Allied Assault. That game helped pioneer the heavily scripted, shooting-gallery style of gameplay that has become a staple of the shooter genre, and Men of Valor doesn't stray too far from the formula. Along with the "advance from point A to point B" levels, there are some defensive missions and some on-rails events in both boats and choppers. Typical of the genre, the game is half shooter, half acting exercise, in which you have to hit a series of marks as you advance through impressive but highly choreographed mayhem. Unlike most recent Vietnam War-themed games--and unlike most Vietnam War-themed anything, for that matter--Men of Valor sort of recasts the war as a misunderstood WWII-style conflict without much moral ambiguity. The developers haven't completely abandoned their civic duty, though, since the main character is an African-American grunt, which leads to some earnest lessons about racism in between the shooting. Luckily, the shooting wins out over the moralizing and helps make Men of Valor one of the few games to successfully tackle the Vietnam War. Abt this one , the phrase is : ITS NOT A GAME ...................................... ITS A WAR!!! PEACE.

Jackal 0 Posted November 5, 2004 Hmmm..... its a good PC , BUT i am afraid most of the new games will not work properly on your system. Here is what you can do.... get an AMD 2200+ processor and a 3D graphics card....of about 128 MB , the card costs about 3500 Rs These changes will be anuff for the next year and more, Inshallah. Like i have a 2400+ AMD, a K4 MSI mainboard with 32 mb AGP aparture size and a 128 MB ATI Radeon graphics accelerator. with a 1 GB RAM (512 is enuff , however) I can play any game easily with this configuration. Ahh... the games you can play on the system u specified .... are Medal Of Honour Allied Assualt .... Need for Speed : Porsche Unleashed, mmm and Soul Reaver... Grand Theft Auto 3, Cricket 2002(awsome, if u r a cricket fan). And here is a little peice of advice... try not to take (if possible) a CD containing more than 1 game, cause mostly those games do not work properly... Get a Full CD version on a SINGLE CD. if you plan to upgrade your system and want to play some awsome games...here are a few names: 1- Need For Speed Underground (simply brilliant ) 2- War Craft 3 (the most popular startegy game around) 3- Fifa 2005 Soccer (Real world graphics) 4- Hitman : Contracts (it can run on you old PC, try it!) 5- Grand Theft Auto 4 : Vice City. 6- The Devil May Cry 7- Singles (Strong Adult Contents) Its up to you!! Jackal 0 Posted January 17, 2005 Produced & Developed by EA Games Genre: Racing Released : November 2005 Last year, EA took its long-running Need for Speed series in an exciting new direction with the release of Need for Speed Underground, a racing game that focused on making the import tuner scene the star of its arcade-style racing show. The game worked really well, combining the right level of car customization with good track design, challenging opponents, and impressive graphical effects. Now, one year later, a sequel is on the streets, adding some new race types and a big, open city to cruise around. The actual racing in Need for Speed Underground 2 is still pretty good, but unfortunately most of the stuff you do in between races keeps you away from the game's best moments. The biggest change made by this year's game is that the action now takes place in one large city. You're given free rein to drive around wherever you want, and you'll have to drive to races to drive in them. You'll also have to drive to different parts shops to customize your ride--in fact, you'll have to find most of the game's shops by cruising around the city, looking for the right type of colored lights. The game gives you an onscreen map, but shops don't show up until you've found them, and some races don't actually appear on the map, either. You'll start out in some pretty slow cars, so the racing isn't very exciting until you earn enough for a full set of upgraded performance parts. But once you've done so, the racing is fun and the cars handle well. The cars are fast, and things like turning, powersliding, and proper corning technique are easy to pick-up. Like in last year's game, there are a handful of different race types: Circuit races are long lap-based events, sprints take you from point A to point B on a set course, drag racing lets you live your life a quarter mile at a time, and drift races rank you based on how squirrelly you can get on the track. New in this year's game are the street X races, which are essentially regular races that take place on drift tracks. Outrun races take place in various parts of the city--you roll up behind another racer, tap a button, and then try to pass and outrun him or her. You'll also encounter a few races against the clock, in which you'll have to get from one point in the city to another before a photographer leaves the area. Make it, and you'll get to put your car on the cover of one of the game's magazines or DVDs for extra cash. The big new race type is the "underground racing league." These races are the sort of mysterious events where you'll see most of the game's cutscenes. They mostly involve some knucklehead breaking the lock on a race track and then swinging open a gate so your street-racing posse can race on a "real" track, though you'll also bust into airports and such, too. These races are essentially circuit races with racetrack scenery instead of cityscape scenery. Need for Speed Underground 2 starts with last year's game as a template and builds from there. Unfortunately, almost everything that has been added to this year's game detracts from the overall experience. Once you're in and racing and customizing your cars, it's a lot of fun!!! Hope youd like it all the way, DAWG!!! PEACE!
