Almn 0 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) I had to buy a new larger hard drive and reinstalled WinXP Pro. Everything works fine except no sound from speakers. I get a message that there are no active mixers available. They were there before on the previous drive. Where can I get them? Why won't they load? Waqas 48 Posted May 18, 2008 Hello, If you install new hard disk as secondry drive there was no need to re-install windows. You are having this issue now because you need to install all required drivers, Windows XP do not load 100% drivers of hardware available in your PC. You can get driver from manufacturar's website if you know make and model of Sound Card. There might be many other drivers missing, take a look at Control Panel> System Properties> Hardware Tab> Click Device Manager Button Items with "!" sign requires installation of driver.
