Waqas 48 Posted May 17, 2009 MINGORA: Security forces have shelled militants’ hideouts in Mingora, Pir Aman Dheri and other parts of the restive Swat valley on Sunday. Both sides used heavy artillery and weapons, causing damage to the properties of civilians. Forces are facing stiff resistance at several places in the valley. In hilly areas, helicopter gunships are being used to bomb the militants’ positions. According to reports, Taliban’s communication system is still functional in some parts as militants are in contact with their commanders.
