President’s visit bears Pakistan $1.90 bln aid: Babar

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has returned home having had successful visits to US, France, Britain, and Libya, Geo news reported.

According to the President’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar besides grabbing the other successes during the recent visits, the President Zardari has also managed to get Pakistan US 1.90 billion aid.

In his statement released here on Monday, he said the President Zaradri held productive talks with his counterparts US president Barack Obama, Libyan president Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, French president Nikolas Sarkozi and Afghan president Hamid Karzai.

Asif Ali Zaradi also met with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown apart from holding dialogue with several US Senators, statement said.

“All the leaders have pledged to provide economic assistance to Pakistan for economic and education development here and rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)”, the statement added.
