Waqas 48 Posted May 21, 2009 MOHMAND AGENCY: A Taliban commander Thursday surrendered to the local administration in Mohmand Agency. Commander Yawar Syed laid down his arms and handed himself over to a local administration in during a tribal jirga held in Ghulnai area of Mohmand Agency. His five other associates, Tariq, Usman, Hussain Shah, Ishaq and Gul Zamin, also laid down their arms before the jirga. On this occasion, Agency’s Political Agent Amjad Ali Khan praised the militants for laying down their arms.
