Security to bar extremists from IDPs camps heightened

MARDAN: The law enforcement agencies have turned security measures stringent in and around the relief and refugee camps of internally displaced persons (IDPs) with a view to obstruct the possible entrance of extremists into camps in guise of displaced persons while lady police personnel will also be deployed to stepping up security steps in this connection, sources said on Tuesday.

According to police sources, the decision came after the three extremists were nabbed from Takht Bhai and Mardan IDPs’ camps while those IDPs, entering into camps, are also being strictly monitored.

Soon, the lady police officers will be deployed at IDPs’ camps, sources revealed adding the decision will help maintain law and order situation coupled with eradication of women’s problems here.
