Asim Ali 0 Posted April 6, 2004 Yesterday Provisional Health Minister(Punjab) ne kal aik akhbar ko interview dete hoe kaha ke is saal se Entry tests for medical college khatam ker diye jaeen ge unhoon ne mazeed kaha ke is ki wajah yeh hai ke Booti mafia yahan bhi majood hai or entry test sirf sahi telent ko aage lane ke liye rekha gaya tha or ager us se matlooba maqasid poore nahi ho rahe to phir is ka koi faida nahi............ yani ab open merit per students ko rekha jaee ga medical colleges main.... cute_ooky 0 Posted April 6, 2004 Well I dunno how ur system works in Pakistan.. but here in Canada its damn hard to get admission in medical school.. they dun look at ur entry test as much.. The whole admission process is compoed of the following.. 25% >> MCAT (Entry exam) 25% >> Marks frum previous year (BSc) 50% >> Community involvment, volunteering, if possible co-op.. and I think thats the best procedure to do it because they want the person to be all rounded.. not just be a kitabi keera and know nuthin abt true medical life.. it is a pretty busy career u know.. u gotta manage ur time wisely.. Aur phir zaroori nahi keh her genious.. abuv 98% average student aik buhat hi acha doctor bhi ban sake.. U never know.. u can be a 60%er but have the potential to be a doc. I dont no why dont they took any System from Abroad Like u told abot the system in canada Or aap ne yeh bhi theek kaha ke zaroori nahi ke kitabi keera ziada acha doctor ho ga Ab aap Khod dekh lain ke Muna Bhai MBBS Kita Acha Doctor Tha ;) But On the Serious Hand This Is Alwys Possible that good student might not be the good proffesional ......
