Waqas 48 Posted November 19, 2009 KARACHI: A person was killed by police shooting in Dalmia locality of Karachi on Thursday morning, Geo news reported. According to police sources, the killed person was a fleeing criminal whose identity was known as Zafar Iqbal who received bullet-inflicted injuries and was shifted to hospital for medical attainment but succumbed to wounds. People in fury pelted stones on vehicles and busses going through Dalmia road in protest against the killing of Zafar Iqbal and blocked the road when Iqbal’s dead body was brought to his home, witnesses said. Later, heavy contingent of police troops arrived on the site and brought the situation under control, sources said denying people allegation of killing an innocent person as police termed the incident as police encounter against a suspect booked in four different police cases.
