Dr. ImranÂ’s name will shine forever in MQM history: Altaf

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain Saturday paying rich tributes to slain party leader Dr. Imran Farooq, said the latter’s name would shine forever in the history of MQM’s struggle and its glow would never grow dim.According to a party statement issued here on Saturday, speaking to the members of MQM Coordination Committee and other office bearers after the funeral of Dr. Imran Farooq, Altaf Hussain said: “Dr. Imran Farooq Shaheed waged a struggle for the rights of deprived and oppressed masses right from his student days till he breathed his last.”He said Dr. Imran Farooq rendered all sorts of sacrifices for furthering the party''s mission and continued to stand his ground in the face of daunting challenges and times of trial. “He remained committed to the oath he took for the Tehreek and proved the truth of his loyalty by sacrificing his life,” Altaf Husain added.He said Dr. Imran would continue to remain alive in the hearts of all the MQM workers, supporters and the whole nation. The Shaheed’s blood would not go in vain and a day would come when his blood would trigger a revolution by the poor and middle class people in the country, the MQM Chief believed.
