DonÂ’t make Pakistan scapegoat: Haqqani

Recommended Posts

12-23-2010_76233_l.jpgWASHINGTON: The Pakistani Ambassador to the United States, Hussain Haqqani, has said that the US and Nato countries should not make Pakistan a scapegoat for their collective failure in Afghanistan.Talking to the White House correspondents at his residence here on Wednesday, Haqqani said the United States and its Western allies should not indulge in blame game on this important and crucial issue. “Rather than blaming Pakistan, they should concentrate and focus on how to end increasing radicalisation in their societies,” he said.Ambassador Haqqani said Pakistan was doing its best to fight against terrorism, and no other nation has sacrificed so much what Pakistani Army and people have done so far to make the world a terror free place. “It is not the time for US or Nato countries to blame Pakistan for their failures in Afghanistan but to focus on united efforts to defeat the terrorists,” he added.
