Waqas 48 Posted December 30, 2010 LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Thursday said the purpose of making Pakistan was definitely not to play slave of the establishment and that the country no longer affords any more marital laws, Geo News reported.Addressing PML-N workers convention on the occasion of 104th Founding day of Pakistan Muslim League, Nawaz Sharif asserted that the time has come to take to task the dictator who has been repeatedly breaching the law and constitution, leading the country to the present state of chaos and problems.He said the constitution was abrogated four times in the history of the country which bled profusely when it was cut into two pieces to make Bangladesh.“We have made mistakes in the past and we still do but our commitment for the cause of Pakistan is based on honesty,” he said.He said PML-N’s support for democratic process must not be construed as an intention to back a ‘corrupt government’. We will not be party of any puppetry, he asserted.“Government’s real support are those who have been standing shoulder to shoulder with it for the past three years….. it’s support are those who have been raising the slogan of revolution,” Nawaz Sharif said.He said today Pakistan needs to be saved but this would require Tehreek-e-Pakistan like commitment and dedication.Referring to the problem of Balochistan, Nawaz Sharif said it seems as if the province is out of the agenda of the government.Nawaz Sharif demanded of the government to constitute a committee comprising lawmakers to sort out the issue of Balochistan.He regretted that prices of essentials like electricity, petroleum are being raised every month, further burdening the people who are already facing hardship due to skyrocketing inflation.
