Police draw sketch of WaliÂ’s killer

1-15-2011_77280_l.jpgKARACHI: Police officials have, with the help of eyewitnesses, drawn a sketch of one of the culprits involved in the killing of Geo News reporter Wali Khan Babar, Geo News reported Saturday.The investigative team has also claimed to have seized a car used in the crime.The sketch shows a clean-shaven man, aged around 28-30 years, wearing a p-cap. According to the team probing the incident, the attackers were riding a motor cycle and after finishing their task one of them disembarked the motor cycle and got inside a car.The police have tracked down a car, the owner of which is a woman who is out of the country. The ownerÂ’s sister had sold out the car seven months ago, police said. The car had been sold and resold four times in the past seven months.During investigation, police have also taken into custody two showroom-owners and a denter.The investigative team, comprising DIG West Sultan Khwaja, SSP Liaquatabad Naveed Ahmed Khwaja, SSP SIU Raja Umer Khatab and other officials, also examined the spot where Wali Khan Babar was brutally killed by the terrorists.The team rebuilt the crime scene and recollected the evidence.The police officials have claimed that the investigation has advanced in the murder case of Geo News reporter. The forensic lab is carrying out examination of five bullet leads, recovered from the crime scene. This will help the police find in which other crimes the gun was used.Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has vowed to arrest the killers regardless of their affiliation and creed.
