Here are some of the facts about your feet which you may like to know & appreciate, how remarkable are our feet! i)There are 26 bones in each foot with approximately 1/4 of all bones in the human body. ii)The average person takes 8000 to 10000 steps a day. This adds up to around four times the circumference of the world in a life time. iii) Women have about four times as many foot problems as men: a lifelong pattern of wearing high heels & court shoes is often the reason. iv)There are times when you are walking that the pressure on your feet exceeds your body weight & when you are running,it can be three or dour times your bodyweight. v)There are approximately 2,50,000 sweat glands in a pair of feet & they excrete as much as 250 ml of moisture a day. If you have problem with your feet consult a PODIATRIST. He can advise you about the following problems & their treatment: Flat feet, high arches,bunions,Achilles pain, aching feet,corns,fallen arches. thick nails ,shin splints,warts, athletes' foot,arthritis, pins & needles, swollen ankles, foot-wear advice,diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis,smelly feet,foot pain, heel spurs, limping & fungal nails.
