At what temperature does it qualify as hot? - Is sign language the same in languages other than English? - Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round? - Can bald men get lice?? - How come popcorn isn't a vegetable? - Why is Donkey Kong called "DONKEY" Kong if he's a monkey? - If a bunch of cats jump on top of each other, is it still called a dog pile? - How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered? - Why do you DELETE something on the computer, but ERASE something on paper? - Since there is a rule that states "i" before "e" except after "c", wouldn't "science" be spelled wrong? I m just wandering if I ever got a quiz like this in my life, hehe I'd fail it for sure.... Waise great quiz... and to ur question.. Well whenever u sweat, u say it's hot but when u shiver, u say it's cold... that's how u differenctiate between the two.. By the way I didn't know that Joey is short form for Joe.... fati 0 Posted February 24, 2004 - If a singer sings their own song during a karaoke party, is it considered karaoke? hm it depends.. coz karoke party is a party in which people sing with recorded music while lyrics r displayed on screen. now if the singer is singing his own song and the music is recorded... so it will still b called karoke. because singing song is a compulsion.. singing song of a particular person isnt a compulsion.. i mean its not necessary that u have to sing a song of madonna or micheal jackon . if u are a singer then u can sing with the recorded music and it will b still called karoke. but guys.. this is my personal opinion in regard with the actual meaning of karoke party.. coz i havent attended such a party ever :) - How come French fries are not considered a vegetable, they are just deep fried potatoes? when potatoe is a vegetable.. french fries are also. if v chop carrot and fry it , it doesnt mean it has changed into somthing else... its just a fried carrot.. so french fries are fried patotoes that implies frech fries are fried vegetable.. and y arent thay considered vegetable. i never knew that :P perhaps becoz the person who made french fries for the first time.. only liked potatoes and didnt like other vegetables. so he didnt call them vegetable and so on other people also considered them like that. anyhow. consideration can b wrong :P potatoe = vegetable multiplying by chopped on both sides chopped potatoe = chopped vegetable multiplying by friend on both sides fried chopped potatoe = fried chopped vegetable multiplying by deep on both sides deep fried chopped potatoe = deep fried chopped vegetable as french fries = deep fried chopped potatoe therefore, french fries = deep fried chopped vegetable theorem proved. hence its proved frech fries are vegetable . if u still consider it to b false .. then .. :dontsad: Why is vanilla ice cream white when vanilla extract is brown? its simple a matter of mixture and compound ..as sanum said about the ingredients. when these ingredients r added. the properties r changed. hence the outcome becomes white :) - Why is Joey short for Joe, when Joey has more letters? who said joey is short for joe. if joe said that. hes mad he doesnt know what short means.. joey is a nick name for joe.. thats all - Is there a certain temperature at which it stops being qualified as cold? At what temperature does it qualify as hot? aimon. thats not temperature. thats a condition. when u sweat ur inner temperature is hot... so u say its hot. and when u shiver. u know u r feeling cold. and the temperaute is cold too.. when it become extra cold. thats chilling . u say its freezing. so its no more just cold.. and when its extra hot. u say its boiling so no more of simple hotness... - Is sign language the same in languages other than English? well to answer this one.. need to know about all the languages. then sign languages. a general anser cud b no. because sign langugage is for deaf people. and people of different region have different understandings.. to explain things to them different ways r used. so in this sense .. sign langugage can also b different. Since bread is square, then why is sandwich meat round? hm sandwich meat.. first v have to know what is sandwich meat. its meat that is put into sandwich. now it depends on u. u can make bread round along with meat. and meat square according to the sandwich. but no cocept of making a sanwich round and meat square. becoz u have to place meat inside the sandwich. not sandwich inside the meat.. :P - Can bald men get lice?? sanum is right. no baldman cant get lice.. its similar to the question. can a thief hide in an open ground. no he had to search for forest inorder to hide. so baldman cant have lice on their head.. coz no hair no shelter.. but if he wants to have lice in a bottle ..he surely can :) - How come popcorn isn't a vegetable? yup popcorn isnt a vegetable. agreed. when paper is heated, it burnts.. u wont call the burnt thing a paper. u can call it a burnt paper or ash... similarly when corn is heated it pops ups.. so u cant call it corn now. u have to call it pop corn.. u can still call it popped vegetable. but u cant call it vegetable anymore... coz it entirely changed. - Why is Donkey Kong called "DONKEY" Kong if he's a monkey? thats a silly question. i know about u ... i mean i know about donkey. but whats a kong.. so no answer for that :) - If a bunch of cats jump on top of each other, is it still called a dog pile? dog is a dog.. pile is a pile. now if u combine these both words.. then dog pile means . a pile of dogs ... now if cats jump on top of each other. u wont call it a dog pile. its a pile of cats.. was that a question. next plzzzz - How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered? although assassination means to kill esp. known public figure by treacherous violence; commit a planned murder but if a person isnt important and not a public figure. and witnesses r there to tell that hes killed because of someother reason then it can b considered as an assassination instead of a murder.. but its important that witnesses must b there. - Why do you DELETE something on the computer, but ERASE something on paper? well delete means to select something and then delete i.e. delete by pressing the delete button. it will b removed. and erase something usually means to rub it.. with a rubber or eraser. if u r working in paint brush and mark a line. select eraser and rub it. u wont call it to b deleted. u'll call it to b erased, so for a thing to b deleted. u have to press a button simple.. but for being erased u have to move ur hand to and fro to rub it. a mouse can b moved to and fro also to erase in paint brush.. - Since there is a rule that states "i" before "e" except after "c", wouldn't "science" be spelled wrong? no. it wont b spelled wrong. because v r the ones. i.e. the people who made rules r the ones to decide about it. so rules r different for somethings.. i.e. some words.. thats what u call grammer. but what does this statement mean.. there is a rule to write "i" before "e" but one cant follow the rule when both letters are after "c".. well there r many words like that.. for eg. efficience, insufficience ..and if its about pronounciation.. v r the ones to deicide about wrong and right... so no it cant b pronounced wrong and it cant b spelled wrong aswell :) any other answers..... no interest in education Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
