Memories from the past

Forever do they last?

Can I forget them for a while?

And enjoy a brief smile

They’ve become part of me, I know.

From whom some relief can I borrow?

I tried hard but in vain

There’re only tears, only pain.

Will there ever come a day

When there’ll be light all the way?

I’m waiting for that distant star

I just hope it’s not too far.

Any longer, I can’t wait

Yet maybe it’s already too late

For memories from the past

Because God planted something special

Doubts and worry did I have

When I was unsure how to love

There were times I couldn't believe,

That this special someone has finally arrived

Time seemed to pass very fast,

Yet I still can't wait

For that special moment

When fate re-allows us to meet

Some things still strike me as not right

Even after I've known you so much better

This distance parting us should not exist

Coz we are obviously destined to be together

The oceans between the two of us

Doesn't really amount to anything though

Compared to the joy you've brought to my life

And the future we hold together

No matter what the future brings us

Please just remember those moments we had

Sharing moments of joy, peace, and laughs

Even when things hit us bad

Sure, I wish we were physically closer

but in my heart, this relationship is the best I can have

I sit in the park where I dwell

For this gurl I love so well
