Waqas 48 Posted August 7, 2010 LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Saturday, referring to the President’s ongoing visit to the UK, said the national resources should have been directed towards helping the flood-stricken people instead of wasting the same on foreign tours.Talking to media men after visiting a flood relief camp set up here at a workers welfare school, Nawaz Sharif appealed President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani to stand by the victims of flood in their time of trial.Lashing out at President Asif Ali Zardari for his ongoing UK trip, the PML-N Chief said the prevailing harsh circumstances necessitated President’s staying back at home with the people of Pakistan and not leaving them in lurch by proceeding on a foreign tour.“I have asked Shahbaz Sharif to stay in Muzaffargarh until each and every flood affected person gets relief there,” he told the reporters.
