Good :yes: informative for WINXp users but not for me :( coz still i have Win98 :)

Nice info. But still i would like to add one thing ..

If you write "shutdown -a" to shut down the count down, den u'll not be able to COPY n PASTE. It's coz the virtual memory will not work anymore. In other words, RAM (Random-Access Memory) :unsure:

wht u want to copy paste

bz i tired it copy paste is not affected by this, this only stops the RPC shutdown nothing else :)

the RPC call has different methods of managing virtual and physical memory (RAM) depending on the architecture of the processor you are using (Intel/AMD/Mac) etc.

Thus "shutdown -a" only prvents the PC from shutting down but it does not FIX the problem. to fix the problem, download and install Windows XP Service Pack 2 (280 MB).

Its a large download so i will recommend installing the version of Windows XP with service pack 2 preloaded or... get Win XP Service Pack 2 on a CD, from your local market

yes Asim u r rite it will not solve the problem but sometime when u get the mesg and doing somthing when u don't have xp patch or SP2 this helps :)

anyway WIN XP SP2 is reall heavy :( makes the pc reallll slow ??

do u know h to make it fast
