NInA 2 Posted May 2, 2005 Nice info. But still i would like to add one thing .. If you write "shutdown -a" to shut down the count down, den u'll not be able to COPY n PASTE. It's coz the virtual memory will not work anymore. In other words, RAM (Random-Access Memory)

In other words, RAM (Random-Access Memory) wht u want to copy paste bz i tired it copy paste is not affected by this, this only stops the RPC shutdown nothing else :)
Asim 0 Posted May 3, 2005 the RPC call has different methods of managing virtual and physical memory (RAM) depending on the architecture of the processor you are using (Intel/AMD/Mac) etc. Thus "shutdown -a" only prvents the PC from shutting down but it does not FIX the problem. to fix the problem, download and install Windows XP Service Pack 2 (280 MB). Its a large download so i will recommend installing the version of Windows XP with service pack 2 preloaded or... get Win XP Service Pack 2 on a CD, from your local market
