cooooolll 0 Posted September 20, 2003 well i was reading sum mag. and saw sumthing abt child abuse....its so common .... there r millions of victims in pakistan only.... in every other house the adult using the child.... and the innocent child when grows up , he/she keeps feelin' guilty as if it was his/her fault....but actually he/she was absolutely innocent at that time......what is the reason behind that??? is there any enjoyment factor involved???? what r the measures to stop it or to reduce it ? thank God im not among its victims....but there must be sum members who suffered from it.....and i know nobody likes to share it or may be it requires loads of courage to do that .... but still we can atleast discuss sum measures to stop it ... Hazaroon aise log hain jo khud bachoon ke rights ke liye lambi lambi takreerain karte hain.. special commeties banai hui hain... ki inn bachoon ki bhi zindagi banayengay.. lakin jab khud unnke ghar jaa kar dekho.. to wahan parr aise bachay kaam kar rahay hotay hain.. jinki halat fakeeroon se bhi kharab hoti hai... jinko table sahi tarha na saaf kiye janay par.. khana nahi diya jata hai.. yeh sab kuch humain unnke hi ghar main milta hai jo logoon ke samne barh charh kar abused bachoon ke haq ki baat kartay hain.. dossroon ke samne yeh kehne wale... ki bacha ghareeb ka ho ya ameer ka .. bache ki psycologie .. usska zehan aik hi hot ahai... classes se kuch farq nahi parta sabhi bachay insaan hotay hain.. yeh kehne waloonke apne ghar bachoon se janwar ki tarha ka salook kiya jata hai... yeh masoom si zindagiaan.. jab doosre bachoon ko skool jatay dekhti hain.. to innki ankhoon se jhalakti hui khawahish insaan ko tarpa kar rakh deti hai.... bahir ke logoon ko aise bachoon par tars ata hai.. .. mujeh bhi ata hai.. lakin hum sirf tars khanay ki bajaye,, khud bhi inn bachoon ke liye kuch karain... to iss se humara kuch nahi jayega.. magar uss gareeb ki duaen zaroor millaingi... Any form of child abuse be it mental or physical is just sick.. the ppl who indulge in such demeaning acts need pyschiatric help! Sirf Pakistan mey hee nahi balkey duniya k har hisay mey aisay loog rehtay hain jo mazloom bachon sey un ka bachpan cheen kar un ko mazduri karney pe majboor kar detay hain for a measley wage or in some cases in return for their living expenses.... they keep them in such conditions that we would not even let our animals reside yet these poor lost souls have to endure these hardships :( There are alot of organisations that have been formed here in the UK for example we have the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) which aids children from poor families and meets their basic needs.... Yet I still think we can do more for these children especially in the 3rd world countries where they r mostly used for child labour and paid nothing in return, in some circumstances these children risk their lives in order to survive. We can do more.. but we dont - why? Maybe coz we dont see the full extent of the abuse these children have to go through for ourselves and we think its a case of "out of sight out of mind".. but what r the governments of these countries doing to assist the children who have no moral or family support? cooooolll 0 Posted September 21, 2003 w/salam shabo agreed with both shabo and rythm......yeah u both r right yeh bhi abuse ki he aik type hai ....but im talking abt sexually abusin' the child......it can be of various types...like making the child touch ur body parts....etc etc etc ...i don't wanna go in detail of all that .... rythm and shabo u both mentioned the sufferings of poor children but the type of abuse im talking abt , well even the richest children suffer from it.... and u know what everytime the child suffers from a person of his family , i mean sum1 like his uncle , mum's brother , dad's brother etc or any other person who is very close to his family and moreover that person is the one who is respected by all family members and nobody ...nobody can think anything like that abt him....so the child suffers even more! the letter that i read in that mag. was of a child who was abused by his mamoo ( mum's brother)....and that person offers his prayers very regularly...and goes to the mosque to offer his prayers.... but that girl was brave enuf to tell that to his mum and she told her sum ways to avoid it ....but even her mum was not so sure that what her daughter was saying is true or not!....and that girl wrote that she wishes to kill that person...and whenever she sees him ....those scenes start appearin' infront of her eyes.... she wanted to do sumthing to stop this child abuse.....and believe me there r sooooo many victims...and the number is growing day by day..... but now its pretty clear y this thing is increasing instead of decreasing ....nobody is interested! Shabo 0 Posted September 21, 2003 Hi cooooolll Heyyyy I know I mentioned "physical" abuse briefly in my post but.. I dint realise u were directing this topic to JUST THAT!! I know this is a very tabu topic especially in our families and culture.... Physical abuse such as this DOES exist... True story:- A girl (17 years of age) was physically abused by her mum's brother who was staying with them... she was threatend that if she told any1 nobody would believe her.. y should they when the older "relative" was highly respected in the family... she was just a young British teenager and she would be treated as a liar... When she finally plucked up the courage to tell her mum.. thats EXACTLY what her mum said... dont be silly and stop telling lies! So what should a girl do.. she hated the site of her uncle who was living in the same house as them.. she had not father (he had passed away) her mother was not very understanding towards her situation and her uncle was getting away with torturing her like this :( This abuse was physical.. but what were the long lasting MENTAL effects this would have on a young girls life??? She was so traumatised she started blaming herself she was convinced that she MADE her uncle do these things to her.... basically she was going mental! She was too frightened to tell anybody else and was living in hell day in day out! I always think what if her mum did believe her how would she have reacted towards her brother?? What a shame for her and her family that such things should be happening in her house... Alhamdulilah I consider myself very lucky in every aspect of life and ESPECIALLY in this regard that my family r very loving and caring and such evil thoughts would never enter into their minds.. We believe ghar ki izzat apnay haat hoti hai and risht e daaron mey har beti apni beti ki tarha hoti hai.. What about the ppl who r less fortunate than myself? I cant even imagine what will be going through their minds I just pray that Allah gives them the courage to speak to somebody who will first of all believe them and then who can help them get out of this living hell.... Heyyy cooooolll I dont think its a case of ppl rnt interested.. its just that this topic is very delicate and many ppl may not be able to express their views properly... NaDaN 0 Posted September 21, 2003 yeah Exactly... actully this is an open truth we all are confronting but very few of us can do something about it... one i asked my Molvee Sahib!! is it appropriate to give money to such children who r victoms but he said no cus it is not them who ll get benifit out of our money!! its their master or who ever bbehin.. even oakistani police is also involve is such cases!! anyways We can just pray ..May Allha make thiings better for them!! cooooolll 0 Posted September 22, 2003 well frnds i wish to clear one thing here...bachon say kaam lena is child labour ..abusin' is different ...but u may say that it is a type of abuse and yes shabo....the victim keeps thinking it was his/her fault ....keeps feelin' guilty.....it happens in most of the cases...but actually the child is innocent and it is the adult who uses him/her according to his evil desires!
