iamshani 0 Posted August 18, 2003 welcum nadan here..:) our main topic here is abt the educational sys. of ours..itz effect its improvement n watever covers it.. besides..i have started new topic abt the newly born environment in our educational institutes...thtz of not attending classes..going to dates..etc..( i myself have seen many many dates rite i the quaid's tomb as my college adamjee is near to tht...and now it is a bif datinf point) though these r much bitter facts but we have to face them n we have to justify it!.. it meanz we students r major responsible of our downing academic skills..i admit too tht pakis have no lack of intelligence..but itz a fact too tht acc. to an estimate since independence..we have evolved professional worthy PhDs in tens while our neighbour evolved the same in more than hundreds....so why most students ( esp here in this city ) r not showing the right attitude towards academic studies..?? n besides a line of inrteresting facts is also going on :) ( india has bought a radar sys. n three giant crews fromisrael due to which itz defence power has increased 10 times to pak. material wise) ( dophin can speak but in a frequency greater than 20,000 hz which is undetectable for human hears..! )
fati 0 Posted August 19, 2003 yup i agree. pakis r skillful.. but they r just wasting their skills..... students hardly attend classes, they r always bunking.....well bunking is fine sometimes but students somehow escape through the college gates and go to the nearby hotels. the condition of youngsters is too pathetic... i wonder , dont they feel anything in doing such things..... and the educated people.. go abroad.... i wonder how this country is living..... fact: pakistan is on the map of the world just becoz of ALLAHs will. the people have tried their best to destroy it
iamshani 0 Posted August 19, 2003 ritely sed...but the thing is how r we going to solve alll these problems??..do our friends do the same thing?? do they also bunk ? do they also go to dates?? do we make them understand how terrible is this for them n for their country ?..??.. how can we overcome this problem bcuz if not overcumed....soon..the cuming generation of our society wud be completely blind in manners..n academic achievements..!.. itz the fact too tht mostly educated ppl go to abroad..but still sum patriot n true luving ppl exist in pak. n itz biggest example was Dr. Ibne-e Hasan...he was martyred near his clinic..hez our relative too..u might be thinking wen heard tht ppl from all over karachi protested against this...tht he might be belonging to any political party..not aT ALL!..he was such a nice person n welfaring personality tht inspite of our relationz with him even close relatives also didn't know tht he did so so much welfare works ...wen we went to his namaz-e-janaza..ppl from all over khi came there n there we knew tht how quiet kind he was!..BUt..wat happened to him ??..foes of Pak. kiilled him..n thtz the point i wished to clearify tht paki foes also dont allow living of good nice n educated pplz here in pak...! may God bless his soul n may our whole sys. get renewed n refined..! ameen! fati 0 Posted August 22, 2003 good Q: Do the humps on camels hold water? No! The humps on a camel's back are actually huge heaps of fat and flesh that can weigh as much as 80 pounds in a healthy camel. These humps help camels survive for weeks without food and water. When water and food become scarce on the deserts where camels roam, the fatty humps serve as stored food and are used for nourishment. As the camel's body metabolizes or uses up the humps' stored fat, the hump becomes smaller and flabbier. So the longer the camel goes without eating, the smaller its hump gets. The size of a camel's hump helps determine a camel's health, food sources, and overall well-being. These humps, or reserves of fat, are the reason why camels can go for days without water and food. While humans are supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day, camels can go without water for up to 2 weeks!

iamshani 0 Posted August 23, 2003 interesting stuff..:- The Relativity of Time Today, the relativity of time is a proven scientific fact. This was revealed by Einstein's theory of relativity at the early years of the 20th century. Until then, people did not know that time was a relative concept, and that it could change according to the environment. Yet, the great scientist Albert Einstein openly proved this fact with the theory of relativity. He showed that time is dependent on mass and velocity. In the history of humanity, no one had expressed this fact clearly before. With one exception though; the Qur'an included information about time's being relative! Some verses about the subject read: "They ask you to hasten the punishment. God will not break His promise. A day with your Lord is equivalent to a thousand years in the way you count." (The Qur'an, 22:47) "He will say, 'How many years did you tarry on the earth?' They will say, 'We tarried there for a day or part of a day. Ask those able to count!' He will say, 'You only tarried there for a little while if you did but know!" (The Qur'an, 23:112-114) The fact that the relativity of time is so clearly mentioned in the Qur'an, which started to be revealed in 610, is another evidence that it is a holy book.
