Charmer 0 Posted July 15, 2005 Takkia-kalam might be a word or sentence which we use often while talking unnecessarily n unconsciously. It seems very interesting to observe our own n others’ takkia-kalam/pet sentences… n u‘ll say oh gosh! Do I really talk in such way ? Well ! There r many words n sentence which I use habitually, though they don’t mean as such. In English I use;- well!, exactly, of course, makes no difference, got it! really etc. n sentences having word “hell†like ‘what the hell is that†why the hell u did it for etc. but now I avoid using word hell coz it seems harsh. In urdu I use ;- samjhay or samjhi In Panjabi I use:- menon ki ( mujhey kia) n aaho tay hor ki ( haan to aur kia) Do u know some strange or funny takkia-kalam? What’s ur takkia-kalam/pet sentences? GoriGori 0 Posted July 15, 2005 hey nice topic.. well my pet words in english are... whatever,ohh really,cut it out,why do u wanna know?,what do u mean? sometimes i seh urghh..and duh too...when i get angry! well urdu mein meray takkia kalaamz hein... so to hai,kia mutlab! in sub mein mein whatever aur so to hai bohat ziadah use kerti hoon..! waisay yeh pet words ki aadat mujhe bachpan seh hi hai aur they keep on changing.. aajkal yehi waalay hein... I guess a Pathan would understand me better.. Urdu: dun have any! English: according to my lil chote mote cousins I say "bla bla bla" a lot and "oh oops".. ohh a big one would be "SHUT UP" and "I don't care" I can be mean at times! lolz.. I find it interesting too.. kuch to pak trip ka faida ho.. lolz.. and choudhry u were right abt na mara only.. kha kana means acha na .. whereas if I remember u sed nahi yar.. or sumthing like that.. but good effort! Charmer 0 Posted July 20, 2005 Aimon really!! u will teach me pashto thanks Im happy to know that u can teach me, I have some pathan friends but they don't like pashto nor they wanna teach me, I don't know y, they speak english all the day n they r disregarding their mother language. even some panjabi do the same thing, I don't like this attitude. we must know where our roots r. what do u think?
