I don't understand one thing. It's so common in Pak... but have u ever seen an Arab country having qawalees in the mazars of their holy ppl? Yeh hamara Pakistani culture..... I don't understand why pplz add stuff to their religion? I mean if that person is soooooo holy n all..... ppl shud go to their mazars and pray for them. Not sing and stuff...... Have u guys ever realized.. kitni takleef mai ho gee uski rooh? I think all this stuff is wrong and haram and we shud stop this. Have u guys ever heard of qawalis and music frum our Prophet (SAW) or do u guys know if Arab pplz do it? Afcourse not. Then why the hel are we trynna make changes our religion? And I agree wid Bugs... now I don't know if it's a soofiyana kalam..... but if it is, then we shudn't make fun of it. Shame on us..... and we call ourselves Muslims. ???? Sania 0 Posted April 22, 2003 hey guys i need to add somethin to this topic...i think i'm a bit late but n e wayz abt wat ooky said that dhool is haraam and people also music is used in wawaallis.. it is haraam.. i agree..but when u listen to qawalli or hamd like nowadays singers have added music to it.. but you pay attention and listen to the workings instea of the beat... and someone told me this story that qawalli started when one of the prophet.. i donno which one.. went to a city where people were soooo out of islam and they did bad things.. they would listen to the music all the time and everythin'.. so the prophet was trying to tell the people that everything that they are doing is bad.. but they wouldn't listen.... since he knew that people listen to music so much. he started the Qawalli to get the message across to the people i read more in detail and tell u guys... i gtg and cya Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
