How to improve coolyar?

Salam every1,

As most of you already know that we, Asim (that me) and Waqas, have been working on to improve this website. We might have the strength and knowledge to run it successfully, by the Grace of Almighty Allah but we are just TWO minds. We cannot come up with brand new innovative ideas to improve this website for our members and attract more visitors from all over the world.

That's y, I came up with the idea to start a topic where you will be posting your ideas, comments, criticism and suggestions.

Wheather its about Chat or this Community, or the whole website.

Tell us

1) What you DON'T like about CooLYar and y?

2) How can we improve things/services like chat, community

3) What do you WANT TO see in COOLYAR? (like an Edu Section etc)

4) What services should we start offering to our visitors.

Keep in mind that CooLYar is operated by two brothers, who are also students, and they are running it on very limited financial resources (mainly our pocket money).

We don't claim to be the super-natural human beings nor the gr8est web-programmer and Graphic Designer but we'll try our level best to act on your piece of advices, ideas and suggetions.

I hope you'll post in here and will let us know how to improve and enhance your experience on CooLYar.

I am already working on a mobiles section that will include:

1) Ringtones (composable) [nokia ONLY]

2) Logos (for Pakistani networks only)

3) Tips and Tricks about your mobile

4) Hidden settings of your mobile

5) How to purchase a mobile (things that you should be aware of while buying one)

I also got this idea of starting a ShadiOnline kind of stuff but it is still on drawing board.

Any ideas? suggestions? or anything

Thats nice Idea Asim to get to know about the views of our members that what they want but one thing Resources are always limited according to Robbins so you have to work according to Marshall for the well being of the users of CooLYar :D [My small business mind ;) ]

So we have to work with our abbilities not resources

i like that. but u know this is a super duper, splendid site. keep it the way it is. and yup i will like to give 1 suggestion, in ur forums section add a forum of islam, i know discussions about islam can b carried up in guftugu, but it will look more good that a seperate section is given to the most important topic of our life. and in short the site is gr88888888888. welll i m in a hurryyyyy so thats all for now. want to write much more. but g2g. tc

first of all congrats on  job u ppl r doin a crtisicism u can say on ur chat server its to slow try to make it better , n a suggestion is bring soem more in the chat like pvt messaging window,n voice chat n web cam etc also.

in web section well i suggest there must b news related to pakistan ,media,loolywood whats in whats out in fashion world n stuff related to it.

option for downloadin stuff whcih can include songs,wallapers of diifernat kinds.

in mobile section well i think there can b one thing that is mobile flirtin,meaning that ppl who have mobiles can send messages through ur website by becoming members.i think for this purpose u must visit sms.sc it will help ya in undersatnding what i am saying.

if u want to earn some thing ,as u r a student what u can do is start an online shoping mall in this website,stuff that can b bought online and b delievered aftyer payment.

aqlso to earn money as u a std u can upload stuff related to it and can deliver it to a person when he pays ya the amount just as other websites does.

in internet section of ur comunity many ppl r intrested in developing websites well u can provide them with knowledge,start on line tutorials and many things that can b done.i think the things that i have mentioned r more then enough n if u plan to work on that it will take soem time.

welll i think that including a section of fashion is an ordinary thing to do. a lot of ultra modern sites  full of fashion and style, already exist. coolyar. com is a unique site. it has it own charm. so just keep it like that. i mean there r millions of sites for fashion. online shopping is a good idea. and if pakistani products are to b advertise in ur shopping section, it will b gr8. u know admin what i mean  :) .

news related to pakistan will b appreciated a lot becoz in this way when v ppl r using this site at the same instant v can get information about latest things going on. thats a good idea.

First of all thanks for your reply  :)

Now come to the post Our chat room is Web Based chat which does not have any kind of facility like Seprate Private chat but we have a seprate Java Chat which is fast seprate chat for private and irc based but you will surprised to know that there is no chatter there because it requires Java enabled browser and Java VM [Java Virtual Machine] like Yahoo etc and about Voice chat and video chat we can add features to Java Chat only

and about the News we have added the headlines section today on your request and hope to add fashion etc news soon

about wallpapers, ringtones and songs we are working on it. Wallpapers section was available in the past but not now [because of some problems in thumbnail creation in it].

And about web to mobile messaging, its available at our site but for Pakistani Networks only

Shopping Mall is a good idea for earning.

but all the knowledge relating to development will be provided free of cost.

well, Bugs nay to pehlay he kaafee kuch bata dya hay but i'd like to add something new about sms. wouldnt it b gr8 that if there is a facility to message some1 at his mobile and wait for his reply which he'll send? this is gonna b the most attractive thing to ppl to visit coolyar. about fashion, it sure is nice to have one. About Headlines, it would b better if u'll make it through out the world, i.e. share news from around the world but mostly from pakistan. i also agree to Bugs that cy chat is quiet slow. however, we can still pm any1. i think if u'll remove the reply counts from chat server or make its counts as a compiler, it might improve its speed. the idea of video or voice chat (vchat) is cool but i dont know whether u guys b able to start it or not.

About the Islam section, it sure is important but i think u should name it as Religion or Religious...

Cant remember more now... i'll b back with u with more sugestions or criticism :) but it sure is one of the gr8 sites in the world. thanx to both of u.....!

Note: Kindly plz try to cease this act of getting out from coolyar like mostly ppl do in cy. it will b gr8 if u can try something to convince them to return coz we need visitors.

They are just lying there like a piece of garbage, so I wud really appreciate it if u recycle them i-e get rid of them. cuzz its just takin up space and there is no point of having em.....

but i think the old topics shud not b deleted , coz u know v submit posts and topic with a effort, and if they get deleted after some time, it wont b good.

do v have a option to increase the number of topics per page? i think v dont. so add an option like this one.

hey ooky, how did u know that i was abt to say that? u r right. Admins! i think ooky is right but to some extent. cy is having new and new visitors and they cud check out the old stuff. so it is better to leave only the important ones which may carry some info. well, the replies could b deleted. or u can make a separate sector in a section of old topics which may carry only useful or enterntaining info. now its up to u what u decide.... well, abt the quiz section, it'll b gr8. i cant wait for it.... and the one who will b the winner can b an IQ champion and cud b honoured by providing him a place of a winner and controller of it just like Moderators etc. Quiz shouldnt b limitized to any particular subject. different subjects like Islam, Pakistan, Geography, Science, Psychology etc should b introduced. in this way, we can have an organized quiz section. :)

thats enough for now.....

I have one suggestion: why is cy limitized? like limited numbers of emotions r allowed, limited size of an image.... i think cy is open minded site :) its better to avoid the restrictions. now u know much better... but plz do let me know.
